Example: 3-minute test, 960 keystrokes, 4 uncorrected errors: Gross WPM = (960 ÷ 5) ÷ 3 = 192 ÷ 3 = 64.0 WPM. Errors per minute = 4 ÷ 3 = 1.33. Net WPM = 64.0 − 1.33 = 62.7 WPM. Accuracy = (960 − 4) ÷ 960 = 99.6%.
