Vaping Cost Calculator

Free Vaping Cost Calculator: quick vaping cost calculator for everyday decisions. No signup needed.

A recurring cost calculator converts any regular expense — daily, weekly, fortnightly, monthly, or annual — into a consistent annual figure, making it easy to compare habits, subscriptions, and lifestyle costs side by side. Whether you are reviewing your streaming services, calculating the true annual cost of smoking, or working out what the morning coffee run costs per year, the same formula applies: unit cost × annual frequency. Loan Payment Calculator and Mortgage Calculator are useful companion tools for broader budget planning.

The most common mistake with recurring costs is thinking of them as small because the individual payment is small. A daily coffee at £3.50 feels trivial, but over a year it totals £1,277 — enough to fund a short holiday. The calculator also supports one-off irregular costs (such as vet bills or pet boarding) where a strict frequency doesn't apply, letting you enter a single estimated annual spend instead.

  1. Enter the cost per unit (e.g. £12.99 for a monthly streaming subscription, or £8.50 for a pack of cigarettes).
  2. Select the frequency that matches how often you make this purchase — Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly, Monthly, Annually, or One-off.
  3. Read the daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and 5-year projections in the results panel.
  4. For habit-based costs (smoking, vaping, coffee), note the quit-savings callout — it shows how much you would save annually by stopping entirely.
  5. For pet or vet costs with irregular timing, select One-off and enter your estimated annual spend directly.

How recurring cost is calculated

Annual cost = Cost per unit × Annual frequency, where annual frequency is: Daily = 365, Weekly = 52, Fortnightly = 26, Monthly = 12, Annually = 1.

Daily cost = Annual cost ÷ 365. Weekly cost = Annual cost ÷ 52. 5-year cost = Annual cost × 5.

Worked example: a £6.50 daily lunch buy costs £6.50 × 365 = £2,372.50 per year, or £11,862.50 over five years. Switching to a packed lunch saving £4.50/day saves £1,642.50/year and £8,212.50 over five years — a meaningful financial difference that the daily spend obscures.

Understanding your recurring cost results

Typical annual costs for common habits and subscriptions

The annual figure is the most useful number for budgeting — it lets you compare a daily coffee against a monthly subscription on an equal footing. Use the 5-year figure to understand the long-term opportunity cost: money spent on recurring expenses is money not saved or invested. At a 5% annual return, £2,000/year in unnecessary spending foregone and invested instead would grow to over £11,000 in five years.

Pet costs and vet bills are shown as annual estimates rather than strict frequencies because these expenses are inherently irregular. The one-off mode accepts a single annual estimate, giving you a useful planning number without forcing false precision on unpredictable spending.
