Pass Completion Calculator

Pass Completion Calculator — calculate pass completion for training and performance. Evidence-based formula and benchmarks.

A football statistics calculator computes key NFL performance metrics including passer rating (quarterback rating), yards per carry, yards per reception, fantasy football points, and team efficiency metrics. The NFL passer rating is a composite index combining completion percentage, yards per attempt, touchdown rate, and interception rate into a single number on a 0–158.3 scale. Fantasy football scoring systems translate these real-world stats into points for your league.

Used by NFL analysts, sports journalists, fantasy football managers, and fans to evaluate player performance, compare quarterbacks across eras, and make roster decisions.

  1. For passer rating: enter completions, attempts, passing yards, touchdown passes, and interceptions.
  2. For fantasy points: enter passing yards, rushing yards, receiving yards, touchdowns, and turnovers; select your league's scoring settings (PPR, half-PPR, or standard).
  3. For rushing/receiving stats: enter carries or targets, yards, and touchdowns to compute per-carry and per-target averages.
  4. Compare results against position averages and league leaders to contextualise performance.

NFL passer rating formula

The NFL passer rating uses four components (each capped between 0 and 2.375):

a = (Comp% − 30) / 20 | b = (YPA − 3) / 4 | c = TD% × 20 / 5 | d = 2.375 − (INT% × 25)

Passer Rating = ((a + b + c + d) / 6) × 100

Maximum rating: 158.3 (perfect: 77.5% comp, 12.5+ YPA, 11.875% TD rate, 0% INT rate)

Performance benchmarks

Passer rating benchmarks: 70–79 = adequate starter; 80–89 = solid starter; 90–99 = above average; 100+ = Pro Bowl level; 110+ = MVP calibre. Season-long passer rating above 100 has won the last 15+ NFL MVP awards. Fantasy football standard: 1 point per 25 passing yards, 4 points per passing TD, −2 per interception. PPR leagues add 1 point per reception, making targets and catch rates crucial for receiver valuation.
